Robbins, Ruby Estel

Ruby Estel Robbins, 70, of Croft Manor, Pembroke, Va., departed this life Tuesday morning, January 19, 2010, at Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Giles County on September 23, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Hogie and Erthie Williams Collins. She was a member of Pembroke Christian Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Reginald Glenn Robbins, her sons, Glenn and Leon Robbins, and her brother Arnold Collins. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and John Hale, of Pembroke; her granddaughter, Lorie Hale, of Pembroke; her great-grandchildren, Trevor Hale and Devin Hale; her sisters, Hazel Simpkins, Cathleen Collins, and Betty Collins, all of Pembroke; and her best friend and companion, Floyd Ray Collins, of Pembroke. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Albert Elswick officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
