William Garking (Bill) Ritenour, 84, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2008, at his home in Radford.

He was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II. He was a plumber by trade but loved gardening and spent many hours reading and learning interesting facts that he loved sharing with his many friends in the Radford community. He was born in Princeton, W.Va., the son of the late Garland W. and Florence Garking Ritenour.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Inge N. Ritenour; son, Siegfried O. Ritneour; grandson, Carter G. Ritenour; and sister, Betty Wright.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the West View Cemetery in Radford with the Rev. O. D. Morgan officiating and where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct graveside Military Rites.
