Rippey, Catherine Boyd

Catherine Boyd Rippey, 81 of Radford, formerly of Cana, passed away Monday, September 24, 2007. She was born April 23, 1926 the daughter of the late Edward and Amy Boyd. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Raymond Rippey.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rev. George and Susan Franklin of Radford; two sons, John William “Bill” Rippey of Charlotte, NC and Thomas “Tommy” Edward Rippey of Cana; four grandsons, Rodney Nelson, Kenneth Nelson, Cody Rippey and Matthew Rippey; two granddaughters Kathy Temoney and Amy Nelson Bomber; a step-granddaughter, Marie Smith; one step-grandson George Franklin, II; nine great-grandchildren, Megan and Bradon France, Wesley Hargrave, Garrett Rippey, Kendall, Kaleb and Silen Nelson, and Damian and Aaron Bomber; three great-step-grandchildren Joey and Samantha Rader, and Johnny Smith; and several nieces and nephews with one special niece,Marion Iroler.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Flower Gap Baptist Church in Cana with Rev. George Franklin and Rev. Arthur Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church.
