Riley, Margaret Sawyers

Well done, good and faithful servant. On Thursday, June 27, 2013, Margaret Sawyers Riley, 81, completed her race and received her heavenly reward by meeting her heavenly father face to face. She was retired from RAAP with 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by two husbands, William “Henry” Riley and Robert “Kemp” Riley; and a great-granddaughter, Sidney.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Peggy (Jeff) Sexton, and Annie (Ronnie) Shepheard; grandchildren, Kim (Neil) Alls, Leslie Shepheard, Sherry Mabry, and Scott (Amanda) Shepheard; great-grandchildren, Eric, Brittany, Camden, Delaney, Kaylee, Brenna and Noah; great great-grandson, Connor; and sister, Elizabeth (Claude) Harrison, of Tazewell. The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice and Dr. Goldschmidt for the wonderful care provided. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Radford Worship Center with Dr. Hal Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Appalachian Conference Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA 24018.
