Riley, Frances Hall
Frances Ann Hall Riley, 77 passed peacefully in her sleep at her residence in Warner Robins, Georgia on Friday, Feburary 25, 2022. Frances was born on October 29, 1944, in Oakridge, Tennessee to the late Alpha Melinda Cecil Hall and the late Archie Edward Hall. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Renée Ann Riley; her brothers; Marvin B. Hall and Wesley C. Hall; her sisters Carol J. (Hall) Leffew and Margaret L. (Hall) Barrier.
Frances was the youngest of 5 children. Frances moved to Alexandria, Virgina as a teen. Frances graduated in 1964 from Francis C. Hammond High School were she excelled in Art. Many of her pieces were on display at the high school, she received many honors and awards. After high school Frances went out to California to help with her nieces.
In 1966 she came back to Virginia where she worked at Jewel T Store in the credit department. Frances met Stephen Paul Riley that September they fell in love and married June 9, 1967 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. During their 54 years of marriage God blessed them with 4 children. In 1977 they moved to San Jose, California for better job opportunities. Frances was a homemaker, she took so much pride in being a mother it was her favorite job. Then in the early 1980s she worked at San Jose Medical Center and Santa Clara County School District and in 1985 she started her own business MotherHens DayCare were she cared for so many children in her home for over 25 years.
When she and Stephen retired in 2005, they moved back to Narrows, Virginia. She enjoyed Rich Creek United Methodist Church. In 2017 they moved to Warner Robins, GA to be closer to their children. She was the primary caretaker for her husband Stephen as he developed Alzheimer’s and needed more care.
Frances had many names Baby, Mother, Mom, Mommy, Juicy, Ninny, Aunt Frances, Mom # 2, Nanny, Nana, Grandma and more. Frances loved art, painting, crafting, traveling, cooking, shopping, gatherings, throwing parties most of all being with her family and friends. She loved all types of music, especially she was a huge fan of Aerosmith. Frances’s biggest passion was Children, she was a devoted advocate to all children. If she could change the life of one child, then she could help another child. Her door of her home was always open for everyone and her heart was full of kindness and love. She was spunky, when she walked into a room she just sparkled and her personally was so magnetic. If you knew her you loved her instantly.
Frances is survived by her loving husband Stephen Paul Riley of Warner Robins, Georgia; her only son Anthony Paul Riley and his wife Jessica (Zahn) Riley of Eastman, Georgia; her twin daughters Bevin Olga (Riley) Diamond and her husband Jared Seth Diamond of Byron, Georgia; Nicole Lea (Riley) Andrews and her husband William Andrews of Byron, Georgia; her precious grandsons Jared “Yadi” Seth Diamond II, Anthony “AJ” Paul Riley, Jr., Zachary Scott Paul Riley, Archie Isaac Diamond; many Nieces, Nephews, Great and Grand Nieces and Nephews.
Viewing will be Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 12pm to 1pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows, Virginia. Services will be at 1pm.
