Rigney, Hazel Meredith

Hazel Meredith Rigney passed away October 21, 2022 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Pulaski ,VA at age 89. She was born October 12, 1933.

Hazel retired from The Red Carpet Inn in Draper, VA where she worked for 32 years as the night auditor. She volunteered at the Wilderness Road Regional Museum, and was a member of The First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), in Newbern Virginia. Hazel was an animal lover, and was concerned about local and historical environmental issues.

She is preceded in death by her husband Albert Eules Rigney of Pulaski, her mother and father Nettie Ivalee Teague Rigney and Paul William Meredith, and her 2 brothers, Paul and James Meredith

She is survived by two daughters: Joyce Crowder of Dublin, and Shirley Rigney of Pulaski:

Granddaughter; India Akers and her husband Corey Akers in San Francisco, CA.

Her loving niece Patricia Wood of DE and her friend of 59 years, Louise Fitzgerald of Dublin. VA.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 at 6:15 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
