Riffe, Thomas L.

Thomas L. “Tom” Riffe, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at the Springfield Center in Lindside, WV. Born August 27, 1927, in Raleigh County, WV, he was the son of the late George Granville and Flora Underwood Riffe.

Tom worked as a heavy equipment operator for 35 years. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a member of the Narrows VFW Post 6000.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Bradley and Imojean Boyd; and two brothers-in-law, Beuford Boyd and Stanford Bradley. He was a loving husband and father. Survivors include his wife, Jerry Riffe; one daughter, Kathy Dent of Lindside, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held for the family at the Bradley Cemetery in Lindside, WV, with Barry Harper officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Tom’s name to the Springfield Center Activity Department (10797 Seneca Trail South, Lindside, WV 24963).
