Riese, Robert

Robert (Bob) Riese, age 89, of Blacksburg died, Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Kroontje Health Care Center. He was born in Medford, MA on September 30, 1927 t Robert o the late John and Alice Perkins Riese. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Navy H.M.C. after 20 years of service, and also retired after 20 years of service as an inspector with U.S. Customs.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris Ann Bond Riese; son, Timothy Riese (Gina); daughters, Deborah Gallagher (Bernard), Luwana Ledoux, and Kathryn Riese; grandsons, Christopher, Gregory and Eric Riese, and Joseph Anderson; and great-grandson, Brendan Riese.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
