Ridgell, Ruby “Dianne”

Ruby “Dianne” Ridgell cherished daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend and most importantly mother, passed away December 4, 2017 at Lewis Gale Salem, Virginia. Dianne had a loving spirit with no inhibitions so that any man, woman and child immediately connected with her, loved her and never forgot her.

She was preceded in death by her dad, George Thomas; father of her son, John Ridgell Sr.; grandparents of son; uncle of son; and her beloved dog, Goliath. Left to cherish her memory is mother, Helen Lane and step-father, Ed Lane; step-mother, Susan Thomas; sisters, Mary Roop, Brenda Nicewander, Wanda Duncan; and the love of her life, her son John Ridgell, Jr. She is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends; best friends, Jody and Leo Farber; and special friend, Dennis Warrenfeltz.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at noon in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
