Richards, Tillie Nolen

Tillie Nolen Richards, devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, of Blacksburg, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2007. She was born in Floyd, Va. in 1917 and was raised in the Mt. Tabor Community of Montgomery County, Va.

She was the daughter of the late Senora and Akers Nolen of Floyd, Va. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glay W. Richards.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Price Davison; a sister, Eloise Bourne Rogers; and two grandsons, Daniel Carson Davison and Bloice Cosmo Davison, III. She is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 7 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library, 125 Sheltman Street, Christiansburg, Va. 24073.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday evening prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
