Riazzi Jr., Joseph Vincent

Joseph Vincent Riazzi Jr., 74, of Christiansburg, and formerly of Erie, Pa., was called to be home with the Lord on Sunday, September 2, 2012. He was born on September 1, 1938, in Erie, Pa., a son of the late Joseph V. Riazzi Sr. and Rose Patrizio Riazzi. Joe lived the past nine years in Virginia. He had been retired from Lord Corporation for 12 years. Joe epitomized the meaning of son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a generous contributor to many local and national charities. He was a member of St. Paul’s R.C. Church during his residency in Erie and was a current member of Holy Spirit R.C. in Christiansburg, Va. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judie Riazzi. He is survived by his brother, Dick Riazzi and his wife, Nancy, of Shawsville, Va.; and by his nephews, Ron and Doug Riazzi, of Radford, Va. Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, Inc., 2122 Raspberry Street, Erie, Pa., on Friday evening, September 7, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. and may attend a service 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 3325 West Lake Road. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will also be a Solemn Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2012, performed by Father John Pernelli at Holy Spirit R.C.
