Walter R. Reynolds, Sr., 92, of Christiansburg, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2009. He was born on August 21, 1916, in Pilot, Va. to the late Edgar Green, Sr. and Katie (Calloway) Reynolds. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Reynolds; sons, Allen Cecil Reynolds and Charles Edward Reynolds; a sister, Ethel Reynolds-Eaves; brother, Edgar Green Reynolds, Jr.; brother-in-law, Harry Eaves, Jr.; two nephews, Paul Eaves and Slyvester Roy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline E. Reynolds; son, Walter R. Reynolds, Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Christiansburg; daughter, Jean Wright, of Elmont, N.Y.; stepsons, Ronald Jackson, of Arlington, Va., Glenn Brown, of Roanoke, Va.; stepdaughter, Nanette Dial, of Christiansburg; daughtersin-law, Delores Reynolds, Lawrenceville, Va., and Jean Reynolds, of New York; a sister-in-law, Queen E. Reynolds, of Roanoke, Va.; and other numerous family and friends.

Homegoing services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Schaeffer Memorial Baptist Church, Christiansburg, with the Rev. Lee Suggs officiating.
