Maxwell Lee (Mack) Reynolds, 85, of Blacksburg, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was born in Ingram Branch, W.Va., on January 8, 1923, to the late James Atlas and Cherry Bell Mozingo Reynolds and was also preceded in death by a son, Jackie Lee Reynolds; two brothers, James Caryle Reynolds and Willie “Bill” Reynolds; three sisters, Etta Clark, Lucy Olinger, and Irene Cromer; and a grandchild, Heather Nicole Stiff.

Mack was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corp. and was retired from the Town of Blacksburg. He attended the Norris Run Community Church and was well known for his wood working, gunsmithing and fiddle making.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy S. Reynolds, of Blacksburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Shelbie R. and David Stiff, of Blacksburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, D. Wayne Reynolds and Ellen Flinchum, of Blacksburg, G. Nelson and Regina Reynolds, of Blacksburg, and Joseph M. and Tabitha Reynolds, of Christiansburg; seven grandchildren, Jamie, Kelli, Michelle, Rachel, Sarah, Rebecca and Matthew; one stepgrandchild, Erika; four great-grandchildren, Christian, Haiden, Carie Ann and Lane; five nieces, Judy, Connie, Barbara, Sarah and Sandra; and one nephew, Richard Olinger.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008, in the Norris Run Community Church with the Rev. Doug Price officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery, Norris Run. Friends may call any time after noon on Friday, July 25, 2008, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg, Va.
