Reynolds, Gracie Webb

Gracie E. Reynolds, 97, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at her home. She was born in Franklin County, Va. on September 12, 1913. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dora Ann Webb, her husband, Robert Terry Reynolds Sr., two sons, John Bird Reynolds and Dillard Reynolds, and a daughter, Mary Green, and beloved dog, Taffie. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church, Clay Street, Blacksburg. She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Estelle and James Hairston, of Roanoke, Barbara Jean and Dr. Edward T. Burton, of Roanoke, Rebecca Ford, of Christiansburg, Aldora Green and Patricia Burger, both of Blacksburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Terry Jr. and Reba Lee Reynolds, of Blacksburg; 21 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; nine great -great-grandchildren; foster daughters, Louise Medley and Pat Mayo; Godchildren, Joshua and Allen Price; special friends, Wanda Alls, Rebecca Hairston, Nancy Jones, Agnes Dobbins, Monique Parker, Faye Christian, Edward Green, Harold Duckett, Harold Davenport, and members of the Friendship Garden Club. Special thank you to Carilion NRV Hospice for their tender loving care. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. P.L. Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Blacksburg Cemetery, Blacksburg. Friends may call anytime Saturday and the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time at McCoy Funeral Home.
