Charles A. Reilly, formerly of Fairview in (Camden), NJ passed away peacefully on March 19, 2014 and now rests eternally with our Lord. Age 93. Of Christiansburg, VA. Devoted husband of the late Catherine M. (nee Simpson) of Yonkers, NY. Loving father of Charles Reilly (Phyllis), Patricia Sentman (John), Sharon Kilroy (Michael) and the late Bruce Reilly of NJ.

Caring Grandfather of Michael (Renee), Tricia (Sam), Shannon, Michael, Shawn, Brian, Matthew, John, and Mackenzie. Proud great-grandfather of Ryan, Kieran, Danielle, Kayla, Matthew, and Declan. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews and lifelong best friend of Albert Boyle (Carol) and family. Born 5-4-20 and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Henry J. and Loretta (Doyle) Reilly.

Dear brother of Helen, Loretta, Harry, Margaret, and Joseph Reilly. Brother-in-law of Bernice (Frank) Fitzgibbons, and all of who predeceased him. Charles completed his education in 1937 at Lincoln Hall in NY. He proudly served his country in the US Navy for 6 years during WWII and was a lifetime member of The American Legion.

He made his career as an accomplished pipefitter and plumber in the shipbuilding trades. Charles retired from the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard (56 shop) with over 20 years of dedicated service in (1981) prior to moving to Christiansburg, VA. He enjoyed traveling, taking photos, gardening, and was an avid reader and history buff on the Civil War and WWII.

We will forever cherish sweet memories of how much he loved life, telling tales of his boyhood, and a good many Irish jokes. Charles “loved his family and credits them for making his life’s journey a most happy one.” Dearly loved, he will be deeply missed by many.
