Reed, Patsy Jean

Patsy Jean Reed, 57, of Pilot, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at New River Valley Medical Center. She was born in Montgomery County on August 26, 1949 to the late Irvin and Bertha Cook Dowdy.

She is survived by her husband, William Leonard Reed of Pilot; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Lynn and Bruce Frye of Radford; son, Leonard William Reed and girlfriend, Pam Pearman of Christiansburg; granddaughters Kayla Frye and Kimmie Lynn Frye of Radford; sisters, Brenda Dowdy of Blacksburg, Ann Jones of Radford, Gail Newman of Blacksburg, and Sue Wirt of Christiansburg; brothers, Irvin Dowdy of Radford and Donnie Dowdy of Pulaski; and father-in-law and mother in-law, William and Louise Reed of Blacksburg.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Everette Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in the Shaver Family Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
