Lillian Edith Graham Reed, 82, of Floyd, was received fully into the arms of the gracious and loving Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 23, 2006.

Lillian passed with her husband by her side. A woman of gentle laughter and warmth, Lillian will be missed by her family and friends. She played the accordion and sang with her husband at many churches and on Floyd radio station WGFC for one-half hour programs on Sunday afternoon for many years.

She was born June 29, 1923 to the late William and Meda Graham. Lillian was also preceded in death by her sisters, Edna Alderman and Ibra Harris; brothers, Ed, Branson, Curtis and James Graham.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ola Peyton Reed; sister, Helen G. Altizer; many nieces and nephews; two special nieces, Frances Bishop, Judy Nichols, who helped with her care; special friend and caregiver, Catherine Pauley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Gardner Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Akers and the Rev. J. C. Holden officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Gardner Funeral Home, where the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd is in charge of the arrangements.
