Ratcliffe, Elsie Ritter

Elsie Ritter Ratcliffe, 94, died Thursday, July 19, 2007. She lived in Radford for many years before moving to Albertville, Alabama to be near her son.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred A. Ratcliffe, Sr.; daughter, Phyllis Ann Ratcliffe; daughter-in-law, Gaynell Morris Ratcliffe; brothers, Frank K. and Issac P. Ritter; and parents, Houston H. and Elizabeth Roberts Ritter.

She is survived by her son, Alfred A. Ratcliffe, Jr., MD and his wife Nancy; grandsons, Alfred A. III and his wife LeAnn and William F. Ratcliffe; granddaughter, Dr. Ann Elizabeth Ratcliffe Jacobson and her husband Jeremiah; step granddaughter, Megan M. Waldrop; and two great grandchildren, Aly Kate Ratcliffe and Ethan Jacobson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 23, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Woodard officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service on Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church, 6900 Pulaski Avenue, Radford, Virginia 24141. The Ratcliffe family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
