ratcliffe_jean_farmerJean Farmer Ratcliffe’s spirit and soul went into God’s presence on January 24, 2010. “It is an honor to serve God”. She was a member of the Radford Worship Center and a retired Registered Nurse with over 40 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Grace Ridpath Farmer. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, James Lewis Ratcliffe; two brothers and sister-in-law, Manuel and Pat Farmer, of Radford and C.B. Farmer, of Christiansburg; three sisters and brother-in-law, Maggie Ahmann, of Dublin, Eva and Ray Rash, of Bradenton, Fla., and Doris and Robert Tinley, of Radford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the Radford Worship Center with the Rev. Hal Adams officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 7 p.m. at the church.
