Leona Jewel Ramsey, 73, of Radford, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013. Ramsey was born on August 18, 1940, to the late Henry and Gret Shelton. She is preceded in death by a son, Mark Reed Ramsey. Ramsey is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Raymond; her daughter, Sonia Ramsey; her son, Tony Ramsey and his wife, Kim; her sister, Brenda Morris; her brother-in-law, Garfield Ramsey and his wife, Lois; her grandchildren; Stevie and Madison Ramsey; her special friend, Velma Walters; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford is in charge of arrangements.
