Ramsey Jr., William Luther (Bill)

William Luther (Bill) Ramsey Jr., 69, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, in the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Giles County, Va., he is the son of the late William Luther Ramsey and Hazel Shortt Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Toops; and one brother, Paul Ramsey. He was retired from Alliant Tech Systems and was presently employed by Grucci in Radford. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Surviving is his wife, Linda Stowers Ramsey, of Dublin; son, Matthew William Ramsey, of Dublin; brother, J. P. Ramsey, Youngsville, N.C.; mother-in-law and father-in- law, Eva and George Sutherland, of Springfield, Ohio; cousin, Audrey Belcher, of Roanoke; and one niece and one nephew, of North Carolina. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011, in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Henry A. Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Bland County. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
