Brian Antoine Ramsey departed Saturday, February 4, 2017. He was born on October 5, 1983 to Angela and Douglas Howard Sr.

He was raised by his grandmother Brenda Ramsey. Brian graduated from Blacksburg High School in 2002. He then received his welding certificate from Woodrow Wilson in Staunton, VA in 2004.

He is predeceased by his sister Christine N. Howard, grandfathers Billy Ramsey and Bruce Trussell, great grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Aubrey S. Mills Sr and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ramsey.

Those left to cherish his loving memory are his daughter, Susanna J Kapalka; parents Angela and Douglas Howard Sr.; grandmothers Brenda Ramsey, Brenda Trussell; fiancée Ciara Jackson; brothers Patrick Ramsey, Douglas Howard Jr., Isiah Howard; sisters Veronica Ramsey, Latoya Howard; aunts Pamela Lewis, Cynthia Ramsey, Sandra (Richard) Price, Melissa (Donald) Norris, Mary Trussell; uncles Robert Howard, Joseph Trussell, Lawrence Trussell; 10 nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the service. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
