Raines, Matt ‘Fat Boy’

Matthew Edward ‘Fat Boy’ Raines, 35, of Shawsville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

He is survived by his parents, James and Sandra Raines; siblings, Jamie Raines, Trish Cooper (Junior), Carrie Raines; children, Abagail Raines and Aiden Raines; nephews, Dustin Cooper (Kayla), and Lucas Raines; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Matt loved to fish and he loved to work with his hands. He was a ‘jack-of-all-trades’ and a master of none. He worked for Smith Heating and Air. Matt had one of the biggest hearts and was loved beyond words by his family.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at New Hope Church of God. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Church of God.
