Raines, Jr., James Edward

James Edward Raines Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 4th, surrounded by his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Edward Raines.

He is survived by his parents, James & Sandra Raines; siblings, Patricia Cooper (Junior), Carrie Raines; son, James Raines III; grandchildren, Blake, Hunter and Emily Raines; fiancé, Jody Johnson; nephews, Dustin Cooper (Kayla, Paisley), Lucas Raines and Aiden Hawthorne; niece, Abagail Raines; as well as a host of family and friends.

Jamie loved to ride his Harley, hunt and fish. He loved to work with his hands and could build about anything he set his mind to. Most of all he loved his family with his whole heart and we loved him with all of ours. Jamie never met a stranger and would always be the first to help someone out. To know him was to love him.

Family will receive friends on Monday, December 12th 2022 from 12:30-1:45 at Horne Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel, with Rev. Wayne Poston officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
