Raines, Jeffrey Cyrus

Jeffrey Cyrus (Pee Wee) Raines, age 82, of Blacksburg, Virginia died, Thursday, December 5, 2024. He was born in Montgomery County, Virginia on May 28, 1942, to the late Woodrow and Jewell Helms Raines. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Raines.

Jeff was a plumber in the New River Valley where he worked and owned part of Valley Mechanical and later retired from Virginia Tech.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Q. Raines; daughter Paula Sue Raines; son Anthony Dean Raines (Doug Moses); brother and sister-in-law Gary and Lisa Raines; and sister-in-law Shirley Raines; special cousin Terry Martin. The family would like to extend special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice for their help during Jeff’s sickness.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060.
