Robert Edward Radford, 38, of Elliston, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 15, 2008. He is survived by his fiance, Sheena Hicks, of Elliston; mother and stepfather, Brenda and Allen Wirt, of Christiansburg; father and stepmother, Warren and Mary Ann Radford, of Radford; brother, James Radford, of Riner; grandmother, Pauline Radford, of Roanoke; stepbrothers, sisters and their spouses, Mitch and Kristie Jearls, of Roanoke, Eric and Susan Wirt, of Dublin, Kristin and Jon Gunter, and Melissa and Mike Mitcham, all of Christiansburg; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and special friends including Bill and Patricia Schooler also survive. The family will receive friends at The New Hope Church of God, Mud Pike Road, Christiansburg on Thursday, December 18, 2008, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2008, at The New Hope Church of God with Pastor T. Michael Bond and the Rev. Ed Gallimore officiating. Interment will follow in the Radford Family Cemetery on Fort Lewis Mountain, Roanoke County.
