Hilda Jane King Radford, 75, of Bent Mountain, Virginia, earned her Angel Wings on Monday, April 12, 2021. She passed away peacefully with her daughter and grandsons by her side.

Hilda was born on July 4, 1945, daughter of the late Fred Radford King. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Radford; brothers, Billy King, Clifton King, and James King and his wife, Carol King; and her sister, Doris Marie King and Eddie Poor.

Hilda graduated from Floyd County High School. She was a hard-working woman doing all she could for her children and grandchildren. Hilda worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken and Hardees on Brambleton Ave. (17 yrs.) for many years as a cashier before she retired. She was a dedicated loving Mother, Grandmother (Nanny) and friend to all who was always there to help and lend a hand in any way she could. Hilda will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her daughters, Rosa Marie Radford-Richards, and Julie Radford Patrick Pitts (James Jr.); beloved grandmother of Kenneth Logan Patrick, Devin Patrick, Aydin Pitts, and James Pitts III; and many cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Oakey’s South Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Spears officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Vale Cemetery in Copper Hill. The service will be live streamed on Facebook starting at 10:55 a.m. by going to Oakey’s Funeral Service Facebook page.
