Rader, Betty Lester

Betty Jean Lester Rader, 50, of Willis, our precious sister, joined Jesus on January 18, 2014. At heaven’s gate she met her father, Luther Lester; mother, Ruby Lester Thompson; brothers, Jack and Jimmy Lester; and nephew, Daniel.

She is survived by her brother, Ronnie (Betty) Lester; sisters, Elsie Seabrook, Judy (Gary) Roberts, Carolyn Altizer, and Kitty (Bruce) Harris; as well as other extended family and friends.

Betty loved animals, especially her dog “Riptar”, and enjoyed crafting, especially quilting and making jewelry. Betty was a very kind hearted person and will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, from 10-11 a.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Steve Lakey and Pastor Earl Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd.
