Quesenberry, Mildred Blankenship

Mildred Pauline Quesenberry, 80, of New Castle and formerly of Glen Lyn and Pembroke departed this life Tuesday evening, August 22, 2017 at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital in Blacksburg. Born in Itmann, WV on May 8, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Lee Blankenship, Sr and Ora Edna Richardson Blankenship. She was raised in the faith of the Baptist Church and was retired from Food Service at Virginia Tech. She was preceded in death by her husband “Buck” Ulysses L Quesenberry.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son Thomas Quesenberry and his wife Mary Jane of Pembroke; his daughters Sherry Medley and husband Kevin of New Castle and Terry Robertson of Virginia Beach, VA; her brothers Herbert Blankenship, Jr of North Carolina and Harold Blankenship of Illinois; her sisters Charlotte Powell and husband Buster of WV and her sister Joann and husband John of Ohio; her nine grandchildren; her ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in West View Cemetery in Blacksburg.
