Michael Henry Quesenberry, 64, of Radford, Va., passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010, in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Pulaski on September 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Mildred Webster Quesenberry and Albert Henry Quesenberry. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David W. Quesenberry.

Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Gary S. and Jeanie Quesenberry, of Radford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael always loved music and enjoyed all of his music friends that he came to know during his life. He also enjoyed the local sports teams, Pulaski County football, soccer leagues, and was a dedicated RU basketball fan. Michael would encourage athletes and tried to get to know them personally. He saw only the good in people. He loved talking to people and getting to know them. In spite of his multiple health problems, Michael lived a very positive and full life.

Special thanks to Ruth Phillips, of Baltimore, Md., who took time to listen to Michael and to be his friend. Special thanks also to all of those in the medical community who served Michael throughout his life.

“Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come; ’tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.”
