Clyde “Buddy” Smith Quesenberry Jr., 86, of Draper, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. He was born on March 20, 1937, to the late Nannie Alverta Windle Quesenberry and Clyde Smith Quesenberry Sr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Aker Quesenberry; brother, Jimmy Quesenberry; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Charlie Akers, brother-in-law Earl Hughes.

Survivors include his children; Cindy Edmonds (Tony), Sandy Williams (Joey), Tim Quesenberry (Rachael), Tina McGrady (Victor); Grandchildren: Sarah Yelton (Tyler), Courtney Wagner (James), Cameron Williams (Shawnee), Cody Quesenberry (Stefanee), Brianna Williams-Proctor (Michael), Adam Quesenberry (Taylor); Great-grandchildren, Brennen Yelton, Jaycee Wagner, Layken Wagner, Josie
Quesenberry, and soon-to-be Hazel Quesenberry. Sister: Ruby Hughes, Juanita Hughes (Virgil), Janet Copenhaver (James), Gale Kipps; sister-in-law, Bonnie Quesenberry. Multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Buddy proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, and riding around, whether it be on his lawn mower, 4-Wheeler, or simply a cruise around the country back roads. In his down time, Buddy could be found enjoying the sounds of nature on the porch or watching one of his favorite classic westerns.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 1:30 PM at Norris-Stevens Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 PM. Military honors will be performed by the VFW Post 1184 and members of the United States Navy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, or the American Lung Association.
