Janet Gail Quesenberry, 56, of Christiansburg, was called to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Janet spent her life as a loving and thoughtful person. Her kindness extended to all those she knew. She was a resident of Richfield Recovery Center. A special thanks to the Richfield Nursing Staff on 3 West and all the many, many friends that she enjoyed spending time with.

She is survived by her only son and daughter-in-law, Darrin “Jody” and Angie Criner of Christiansburg. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Justin Criner, Nick Criner, Josh Adkins and Shannon Adkins. Other survivors include her sisters and brother, Lynn Blevins of Riner, Patricia “Patty” and Donnie Lytton of Radford, Barbara and Frank Shelor of Floyd, Robert “Bobby” Cooper of Hampton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Nellie Cooper. Janet was a loving and devoted mother.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the New Hope Church of God, with the Rev. James Walker and the Rev. Roy Burton officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
