quesenberry glenn williamGlenn William Quesenberry, 55, of Radford, went to his heavenly home December 26, 2012, at the Lewis Gale Medical Center after a year’s prolonged illness with his wife, Martha, of 33 and 1/2 years, his sons, Glenn William Quesenberry II and Jeffery Lee Quesenberry, and pastor Bobby Lorton by his side, and Harman and Vicky Akers for support at hospital. Glenn attended Bethel United Methodist Church, and was owner-operator of his truck “Double Q & Sons” where he worked as contract hauler for Turman Sawmill for 18 years. He was born September 22, 1957, in Radford, the son of William P. and Dorrence Quesenberry. He survived by his wife Martha A. Quesenberry, of Radford, sons, Glenn W. Quesenberry II , of Radford, Jeffery L. Quesenberry and daughter-in-law, Autumn, of Radford; granddaughter, Makenzie N. Quesenberry and her mother, Kelly Litchford, of Christiansburg; stepgrandsons, Isaac Harris and Austin Younce, both of Radford; mother-in-law, Elizabeth W. Akers, of Radford; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harman Jr. and Vicky, of Dublin, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Andrew and Sheila Hamblin, of Radford; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; special friend, Dee Dee Hamlett. The family would like to thank Dr. Kenneth Jones, family physician and friend, of Christiansburg Family Medicine, Dr. Curtis Argo, Dr. Samuel Caldwell, and entire medical staff at UVA Medical Center, for their care while he was hospitalized there, special nurse, Janet, at UVA 5th floor, the entire medical staff at Lewis Gale Medical Center, and the Salem Health and Rehabilitation Center, for the numerous prayers that were offered up during his illness by so many which gave comfort and hope to his family. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby Lorton officiating. Interment will follow in the Rockford United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church, c/o Sherry Vaughn, 2525 Wintergreen Drive, Radford, VA 24141, or to St, Jude’s Children Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38148-0142. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
