pugh nancy colemanNancy Coleman Pugh, 89, of Radford, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013. After graduating Averett College, she worked at Quantico and RAAP. She loved her large church family at Radford Christian and Unity Christian Church and spent many hours volunteering in the community with Our Daily Bread, Meals On Wheels, Elf Shelf, Radford Clothing Bank, August Kids Project and the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her parents Morton Morgan and Lottye Hundley Coleman, and her brother, Morgan Coleman. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Claude E. Pugh, Jr; sons and daughters-in-law, C. E. Pugh and Dnae Kinzie of Iowa City, IA and George and Tracy Pugh of Modesto, CA; daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Craig Chrisman of Radford and Jackie and Randi Lemmon of Blacksburg; eleven grandchildren Taylor, Preston and Parker Chrisman, Maia and Cort Pugh, Jordan, Logan and Avery Pugh, Brandie Rountree, and Katie and Nicholas Lemmon; one great-granddaughter; and sisters, Edith Hines and Ruth Duncan. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Unity Christian Church in Radford. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm with the Rev. Dr. Gina Rhea and Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Unity Christian Church, 400 Tyler Ave., Radford, VA 24141.
