Pugh, Margie Brogan

Margie Brogan Pugh, 85, of Blacksburg, died at her home July 22, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Bismarck and Alice Nannybell Brogan; husband, Joe Pugh; son, Roger Pugh; and sister, Barbara Jean Bresenhan.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Eileen Pugh, Blacksburg, Va.; sister; Katy Rogers, Hines, W.Va.; brother, Arnold Brogan, Fredericksburg, Va.; sister-in-law and husband, Wilbur Leighton, Christiansburg, Va.; brother-in-law and wife,; Fred and Flora Pugh, Vinton, Va.; granddaughters, Kelly Pugh, Blacksburg, Va., Wendy Gilmore and husband, Mark, Blacksburg, Va.; great-grandchildren, Dillon and Kassidy Gilmore, Blacksburg, Va.; and 18 nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pugh was a longtime member of Cambria Baptist Church where she served as the Financial Secretary for 32 years, she was also active for many years with the Christiansburg Senior Athletes, and senior Cheerleaders.

The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home, Friday, July 25, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at The Cambria Baptist Church, Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 1 p.m. with Dr. Thomas Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cambria Baptist Church Building Fund, 1310 Cambria St. NE, Christiansburg, Va. 24073.
