amem_springtime.jpgBeatrice Cantrell Puckett, 82, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at her home in Christiansburg. The daughter of the late Cam Cantrell, Sr. and Mary E. Amburgey Cantrell, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Puckett, grandson Jeremy Cantrell, and sisters Virginia and Blanche Cantrell.

She is survived by her son Charles and his wife, Carolyn Puckett of Bremen, Ohio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Velva and James Wirt, Emma and Wendell Young, Geraldine Cantrell Kelly, all of Christiansburg, Va., Barbara Taylor of Wise, Va.; brothers and sister-inlaw, Cam Cantrell, Jr. and Nancy of Dayton, Ohio, James I. Cantrell of Riner, Bob Cantrell of Christiansburg; also numerous nieces and nephews to mourn her passing, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

At the time of her death she was being cared for by her sister, Geraldine and brothers, James and Bob and was a patient of Carilion Hospice. We wish to thank Venus Bingham, Debra Hamm and all the staff of Carilion Hospice for all their help and support and making the last few months of her life peaceful.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Glen Sage with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.
