Pruitt, Robert Lee

Robert Lee Pruitt (Bob), 78, of Virginia Avenue in Pembroke, VA, departed this life Friday morning, October 25, 2019 in the care of Radford Health and Rehab Center. Born in Rocky Gap, VA on February 3, 1941 he was a son of the late Avery Horton and Lula Elizabeth Ashby Pruitt.

He was a graduate of Rocky Gap High School (1959) and retired from Klockner Penta Plaste.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Euna, Elsie, Thurlene and Jean and his brother, Eddie.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory his wife Connie Sue Pruitt; his son and daughter-in-law Richard Wayne and Deb Pruitt of Chilhowie, VA; his daughter and son-in-law Rita and Mike Lucas of Pembroke; his grandchildren Jason, Kevin, Kristen, and Brandi; his step-grandchild Patrick; his great grandchildren Madason, Alyson, Levi, and Allie Mae; his brothers Bud Pruitt of Bland (Martha), Billy Pruitt (Nancy) of Bland, Harold Pruitt (Mary) of Bland; his sisters Ann Kinsser (Buddy) of Wytheville and Gayle McPeak (Barry) of Bland; and the wonderful staff at Radford Health and Rehab that the family thanks for their love and care.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 28, 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, with Pastors Stuart Davis and Eddie Kendall officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the services.
