Charles Lawrence Prince, age 79 of Draper went Home to Glory Sunday evening December 13, 2015 at his home. Born September 25, 1936 in Fontana Dam, NC he was the son of the late Jack Earl Prince & Reba Elizabeth Cardin Prince. His brother, Jack Prince, Jr. also preceded him in death.

He was a veteran of the United States Army – having served in Germany.

Charles was a foreman with the International Iron Workers Local #5 in Washington, D.C. and a member of the American Legion #7. He was a member/Deacon of the Max Creek Baptist Church and since 1972 he had served as a Deacon at other churches in Virginia and Maryland, where he worked with youth groups and bus ministries.

Some of his work includes ornamental finishing work on D.C. landmarks including the Capital and the White House.

Son-Terry Charles (Sara Margaret) Prince – Draper

Daughter-Tammy Teresa Osborn – Mooresville, NC

Grandchildren- Charles Lawrence Prince, II Vann Tyler Prince

Sisters-Lois Best – Maryville, TN. and Judy Prince – Mt. Holly, NC.

Brother-LaVerne (Sharon) Prince – Maryville, TN.

Many cousins, nieces and nephews-

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon – Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Max Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at the Max Creek Baptist Church Cemetery where the V.F.W. Post #1184 will conduct military honors.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – until service time Saturday at the Church.
