Thelma Moore Price or lovingly known as Sylvia or Cotton, age 92, of Blacksburg died, Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Lewis-Gale Hospital Montgomery. She was born in Montgomery County, Va on August 6, 1923 to the late John Ulysses and Olivia Beulah Meredith Moore.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cloyd Palmer Price, Jr., and infant son, John Thomas Price; sisters, Dorothy Hendricks, Ruth Fleck, Catherine Bloxom, Ada Harrison; and brothers, John Thomas Moore, Clifford W. Moore, and Charles Moore.

She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sylvia loved to cook and fix baked goods for the community for all occasions, and loved beautiful flowers.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patty and David Trump of Pembroke; sons and daughter-in-law, Palmer L. and Phyllis Price of Blacksburg, Rocky M. Price of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Tracey Bernardo and husband, Ken, Travis Price, and Adam Pearman; great-grandchildren, Lauren Bernardo, and Clara Jane Bernardo; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Charlie Trumbo of Durham,NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Moore of Riner, Clarence Moore of Blacksburg, Denny and Shelvey Moore of Blacksburg; sister-in-law, Rita Moore of Blacksburg; special niece, Marlane Burton; special friends, Janice Perdue, Bertha Burger, Ray and Charlotte Wright, and Clinton Smith.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lewis-Gale Hospital Montgomery and Dr. David Hudgins for their care.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gateway Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Southern and the Rev. Dewey O. Weaver officiating . Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad, 200 Progress Street N.E. Blacksburg, Va 24060. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W. Blacksburg, Va.
