Price, Sara White

Sara White Price, age 79, of Berea, died Monday June 23, 2014 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. Sara was born in Carroll County Virginia on December 23, 1934 to the late Mondes White and Zella Mae Ogle White.

Sara graduated from Sylvatus High School in Carroll County VA, and she was also a graduate of Lewis-Gale Hospital School in 1956, attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and became a registered nurse in 1956. Sara is a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Bremo Bluff Virginia, and attended Berea Baptist Church in Berea KY. Sara was an avid gardener.

Sara is survived by her children: David O. (Robyn) Price of Troy, VA, Gerald L. (Scharme) Price III of Berea, KY, Robert A. (Dani) of Stanardsville, VA, and William T. (Christy) Price of Houston, TX, and her daughter Ellen Diana Price Beverley of Norcross, GA, her brothers: James White, Vernon White, Gernon White, and sisters Twila Nester, Erselle Williams, Geraldine Warner, 12 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 step-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday June 26, 2014 at Berea Baptist Church from 5-7 pm with funeral services beginning at 7 pm. Rev. Kevin Slemp will be officiating services in Berea. Burial will take place in the Little Vine Cemetery in Sylvatus, VA, with Rev. Peter Way officiating a graveside service at 10 am July 3, 2014. Pallbearers will be Diana Beverley, Gerald L. Price III, David Price, William Price, Robert Price, and Gerald L. Price IV.
