Pansy Rebecca Smith Price, age 86 of Pulaski passed away Monday, August 24, 2009 at the Pulaski Community Hospital. Born August 1, 1923 in McCoy, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Ray Smith and Margie Bell Albert Smith. Her husband; Harvey Black Price, son; Samuel Harvey Price, step-mother; Mallie Smith and 6 brothers & 2 sisters also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Original Church of God. She is survived by Daughters Melita Rader, Blacksburg, VA; Alice P. Sutphin, Pulaski; Fleda Hise, Bridgewater, VA; Sons Stanley Price, Harrisonburg, VA; David Price, Richmond, VA; 17 Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Reynolds, Blacksburg, VA; Lola Dowdy, Blacksburg; Mary Dowdy, Blacksburg; Josephine Farley, Dublin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Richard Wall & Rev. Charles McPeak officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
