Price, Nora Grubb

Nora Grubb Price, 89, of Blacksburg, died on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Richfield Recovery and Care Center. She was born in Montgomery County, Va., on May 8, 1923, to the late William Kegley and Myrtle Umbarger Grubb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Vernon Price Sr.; by four brothers, Jackson Grubb, Willard Grubb, William Grubb and Lawrence Grubb; and four sisters, Virginia Grubb Toney, Iva Grubb Payton, Myrtle Lucille Grubb, and Allie Grubb Underwood. She was a Charter Member of the Roanoke Valley Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, L. Vernon Price Jr. (Vickie), of Salem; four sisters, Iris Crump, of Blacksburg, Glenda Gibbs, of Bracey, Va., Dorothy Cleary, of Dallas, Texas, and Eleanor Hickey, of Connecticut; three grandchildren, Paula Kassraie (Kass), of Herndon, Va., Amanda Sparks (Lee), of Roanoke, and Alison Price, of Washington, D.C.; four great-grandchildren, Aaron, Allie, and Hayley Kassraie, and Madison Sparks; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, September 6, 2012, at the McCoy Funeral Home. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, Va.
