Price, Mary Wickline Ellison
Mary Ellen Wickline Ellison Price (Grandma Mary), 93, of Christiansburg, Va., wonderful mom, wife and grandma, she was always helping others and loved her church family, born on September 4, 1917, in Zenith, W.Va., went to her eternal home on Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Montgomery Regional Medical Center, Blacksburg, Va., surrounded by people who loved her so much.
She had been living with her daughter, Ellen King, for the last 16 months. She was preceded in death by the love of her life husband, W. Jack Ellison; and husband Ira C. Price; parents, Lorenza James and Martha Gracie Broyles Wickline; sons, Luther Sullivan and Charles Lacy Ellison; granddaughter, Tammy Ann Ellison; siblings, Willie, Conel, George, and Raymond; and baby sister Phyllis.
Surviving are daughter, Ellen (Bill) King, of Christiansburg, Va.; son, William “Billy” L. (Vicky) Ellison, of Radford, Va.; daughter-in-law, Delores Ellison, of Troutville, Va.; son, James W. (Louise) Ellison, of Lindside, W.Va.; grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, Kathy (Philip) Ballard, Betty Jo (Ernie) Adkins, Ernie III, of Crowe, Va., Tamara Adkins, of Union, W.Va., Steve (Sharon) Ellison, of Lindside, W.Va., Jamie Ellison, of Union, W.Va., Jason (Sarah) Ellison, of Lindside, W.Va., Randall (Lynn) Ellison, Taylore, of Troutville, Va., Mark (Carolyn) King, Will III, Nikki, of Christiansburg, Va., David (Noella) King, Drew, Cameron, Cody, of Radford, Va., Angie (Jamie) Linkous, Jessica (Andy) VanHoy, of Fort Knox, Ky., and William Jr. (Kris) Nicholas, Ashley, of Charlotte, N.C.; two greatgreat-grandchildren due in December 2010 and February 2011; stepdaughters, Shirley (Curtis) Sarver, of Newport, Va., and Becky Breeding, of Pearisburg, Va.; four step grandchildren; sisters, Minnie Belle Moses, of Shawsville, Va., Dorothy Simmons, of Christiansburg, Va., and Lois (Val) Gutierrez, of Sacramento, Calif.; like a daughter, Pat Harvey; like a son, Sam Shires; and many nieces and nephews to numerous to list but loved her as their Grandma Mary.
The family will receive friends, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at the Lindside United Methodist Church, Lindside, W.Va. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at the Lindside United Methodist Church with Pastor Earle Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in the Wickline Family Cemetery, Zenith, W.Va. Pallbearers will be Sam Shires, Jackie Harvey, Bill Utterback, Terry Utterback, Mike Hines Sr. and Mike Hines Jr.
