Price, Joan Dalton

Joan Dalton Price, 67, of Staffordsville, Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital, Pearisburg. She was born on November 15, 1942, at Wayne County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Martin and Ella Napier Dalton.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Reba Lynne Kirk; five brothers, Allen, Avory, Martin, Moses, Elwood Dalton; four sisters, Irene Dalton, Betty Stafford, Pauline Riggs, Irene Stafford.

She was a member of the women’s Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post #6000 and attended the New Village Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Robert Eugene (Buck) Price; three daughters, Regina Diane Kirk, Narrows, Penny Denise Rash and Crystal Paulette Price, Staffordsville; three grandchildren, Adam Troy Kirk, Robert Wayne Rash, Rebecca Lynne Rash; three great-grandchildren, Devon Xavier Kirk, Taylor Renee Kirk, Robert Franklin Rash.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate, with the Rev. Leslie Shelton officiating. Burial in the Staffordsville Cemetery, Staffordsville. The visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
