Harold Eugene Price, 87, of Pearisburg, VA departed this earthly life on October 27, 2022. He was born in Pulaski, VA on December 11, 1934 to the late Robert Carl Price and Ollie Mae Hurst-Price.

Besides his parents, Harold was preceded in death by five brothers, Bill, Doug, June, Jim, Jack and two sisters, Helen Brumfield and Goldie Spaur.

Harold’s proudest achievements were being married to the love of his life for 65 years to Allie Ann and the family they created. Together, they raised their children in Christian faith in the United Methodist Church. Harold was a first-class Tin Smith in the Tin Shop at Celanese for several years working alongside his father and his brother, June. He retired from Virginia Tech as the Supervisor of Renovations.

Harold loved gardening, working on the farm, and had his own sheet metal shop where he enjoyed doing projects for his neighbors and friends. He enjoyed cross word puzzles and reading; especially American and Native Indian History. Harold was an accomplished poet who loved to write about the everyday experiences of family, friends and his “old” Pearisburg High School class reunions. He was a long-time member of the Pearisburg First United Methodist Church, Triangle Ruritan Club and also the Wabash Odd Fellows Lodge.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Allie Ann, two sisters, Dorothy Harrell of Dublin and Wanda “Susie” Stump of Pearisburg; sons; Timothy Price (Casey) of South Carolina, Eric Price of Pearisburg and Bucky Burton (Leaetta) of Pearisburg; daughters, Sharon Emory of West Virginia and Christy Frame (Joe) of Pearisburg, VA; grandchildren, Vicktorya Emory, Tim “Branch” Price, Jessie Price, Katlyn Burton, Christopher Anderson, Mariah Andrade, Karina Hughes, Shane Frame, Casey Frame, Courtney Frame, Adam Frame and two great-grandchildren; Sophia Andrade, Christopher Andrade and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other beloved family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 11am at Pearisburg First United Methodist Church. The services will conclude in Birchlawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends and those near to their heart at Pearisburg First United Methodist Church Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 5-8pm.
