Price, Greta Mitchem

Greta Shirley Almira Mitchem Price, 78, of Prices Fork, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at her home. She was born in Tip Top, Va., on March 3, 1934, to the late Shirley and Mary Frances Compton Mitchem. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Price I; and her sister, Velda V. Davis.

She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Mira Lynn and Paul Hensley, of Tannersville, Pa., Teresa Kaye and Tony Flores, of Hampton, Va., and Frances Elizabeth Linkous, of Christiansburg; son and daughter-in-law, John Robert II and Randi Price, of Christiansburg; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda M. and Kris Metiche, of Gloucester, Va.; brother-in-law, Charles Davis, of Amelia, Va.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold R. and Millie Mitchem, of Galax, Va., and F.L. and Nell Mitchem, of Richmond, Va.; three granddaughters, Amanda Michelle Price, Casey Nicole Price Linkous and Alexis Flores; five grandsons, Sean Price, Chris Shorts, Jeff Price, Patrick Emerson and Dennis Slusser; three great- grandsons, Jordan, Joseph, and Jared; great- granddaughter, Zoey; six nieces and nephews; former son-in-law, Jamie Linkous.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012, in the St. Michael Lutheran Church with Pastor John Wertz officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, April 19, 2012, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
