Price, Faye Smith

Faye Agnes Smith Price of Wilburn Valley, (Pearisburg, VA) went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2018 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Mrs. Price was born in Montgomery Co. and was a daughter of the late John Daniel Smith and Mamie Surface Smith.

Faye was a longtime member of Eaton’s Chapel in Pearisburg. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting, tatting and woodworking. She spent many hours in her shop making “goodies” for family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roscoe (Jack) Jackson Price of Pearisburg, one son Barry Price and wife Diane of Pearisburg, one granddaughter, Erin P. South and husband Daron of Pearisburg, three great grandchildren, Harlei Pollard, Lane and Lynzey South, four brothers, John D. Smith, Jr., Larry Smith of Blacksburg, Curtis and Wayne Smith of Pembroke, one sister Edith Akers of Floyd, one brother-in-law, Harold and Ann Price, three sisters-in-law, Wanda Stump, Goldie Spaur and Dorothy Harrell.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 11:00am at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Donald Swift officiating with burial following in the Eaton’s Chapel Cemetery in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
