Price, Evelyn Smith

Evelyn S. Price, 98, of Blacksburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Heritage Hall, Blacksburg, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Price; a son and daughter, Floyd A. Price and Julie Phillips; and a grandson, Darrell K. Price.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Clarence W. and Shirley L. Price Jr., of Blacksburg, Va., and the Rev. James (Jimmy) and Betty Price, of Slvatus, Hillsville, Va.; her grandchildren, Michael W. Price, of Pembroke, Va., Jamie Price, of Rural Retreat, Va., Paula Price, of Hillsville, Va., Larry Dale Vaught, of Pembroke, Va., and Rena Richmond, of Rocky Mount, Va.; 14 greatgrandchildren; and 13 great-greatgrandchildren.

Evelyn retired from Virginia Tech after many years of service.

Special thanks to two people who helped make her life better, Betty Ward and Linda Fain.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, July 7, 2011, at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg, Va., 540-552-3211.
