Edith A. Price, 85, of Pulaski, Va., departed this life on Friday, April 23, 2010. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; in whom God, having found favor, called her home to her heavenly reward. Edith was born on March 1, 1925, in Allisonia, Va. She was the daughter to the late John Quincy and Eula Adams. Edith is preceded in death by her husband, Louie Price; a son, David Price; three brothers, John Robert, George, and Calvin Adams; and six sisters, Annie, Iris, Vera, Hattie, Margaret, and Inez Adams. She was a life-long member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Magazine Street, Pulaski, Va., where she served her church faithfully. She was a member of the Mass Choir, Usher Board and Adult Sunday School Class. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Iva P. Hunter and Mary P. Johnson, of Pulaski, Va.; one son, Louie (Madye) Price Jr., of Blacksburg, Va.; one brother, James Everett Adams, of Allisonia, Va.; one sister, Helen A. Martin, of New York; 10 grandchildren, Bobby Hunter Jr., Yolanda HunterBulls, Louie, Veronica, and Julian Hunter, Daniel Johnson, Iscah James, Micah Sayles, Jared Price, and David Houston; 15 greatgrandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at First Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010, with the Rev.
