amem_fisherman.jpgCharmie Epperson Price, age 91, of 620 Fifth Street N.E., Pulaski, left his home here on earth on Wednesday to live in his heavenly home with his Lord and family. Charmie was born in Corn Valley, Va. to the late Charlie & Ellie Price. He was retired from Radford Army Ammunition Plant where he earned his nickname “Whitey”. Hunting and fishing with his son, and in later years fishing with his grandson Chris, were some of the most special times in his life. He loved the outdoors and also loved watching baseball games. Charmie was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church for many years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Roberta & their son, Larry Price who were both killed in a car crash on Dec. 10, 1982. His brothers, Willie & Matt Price & sister, Lonnie Sword also predeceased him. He is survived by his daughter, Lee Price Morehead of Apollo Beach, Fla. and Pulaski, Va.; three grandsons, Johnny Morehead (Sissy) of Apollo Beach, Fla.; Mike Price (Chrissy) of Dublin, Va.; and Chris Price of Christiansburg, Va.; one granddaughter, Diana Winchester (John) of Apollo Beach, Fla.; three great grandchildren, Sarah Winchester, Amanda & Johnny Morehead III of Apollo Beach, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Price Cain of Pulaski, a sister-in-law, Estelle Price of Honaker, Va.; & a special friend, Theda Ritter of Pulaski, Va. A celebration of Charmie’s life will be Saturday morning, Oct. 21 at Stevens Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Grimm and Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating.
